Built in 2017, it was the wish of the late and much respected Bill Barr to retain a Doctor’s Surgery in the village, particularly with the more elderly residents in mind, who found it difficult to travel to Ambleside or Coniston. His family has fulfilled his wish, and the new doctors’ surgery facility opened in September 2017.
