This is the second time we’ve stayed at Hawkshead Suites and it was equally as special as the first time back in Oct 2023. We stayed in Hertha suite this time, as oppose to Eydis, but they are mirror images of each other. Before arriving, we were sent an email pack containing information about the suite and things to do in local area. We received a call 2-hours before check-in explaining that we could check in earlier if we wanted to, especially as we were only in Grasmere round the corner. When we arrived, check-in was simple and inside the well-stocked fridge was prosecco, beer, soft-drinks and milk. A welcome basket of fruit and chocolate was a nice surprise and they went out of their way to acknowledge our severe nut allergy throughout our two night stay. The suites are a perfect location for beautiful walks and only short drives two nearby mountains, lakes, meres etc. we stumbled upon this area by accident and fell in love with it, and Hawkshead suites made it that little bit extra special. For the price, the customer service is exceptional: they go out of their way to make sure everything is to a high standard. The room was very clean, with slippers provided, robes and expensive, local shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. The jacuzzi bath tub was ideal after our walk round Thirlmere and the lavender salts were divine. We will definitely be back for a 3rd time. – Dan L
